As a test of using "Design Thinking" with younger grades, Amy Troy and I collaborated with Carol Nowak's 2nd grade students on some really fun projects. During the month of October we taught a variety of lessons to spur creative thinking. All month long we worked on projects in the library, the computer lab, and the classroom focused on invention. Major projects included creating a toy out of found objects, an iMovie film on famous inventors, and a drawing robot invention using littleBits electronics. I'm really proud of this amazing student work, and also very thankful that Mrs. Nowak is so supportive of technology in the classroom!
